Ira Cadwallader, 70, prominent farmer of the Danville community, died at his home there Sunday about 1 A. M. He had lived his entire life in that neighborhood. He was a member of the Danville Church of Christ, serving for many years as a deacon.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 P. M. at the Danville Church of Christ, with Rev. Jack Monts DeOca officiating. Burial will be in Hamer Township cemetery under direction of Buntam & Rhoads funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Nannie Wilkin Cadwallader, nine children, Mrs. Paul Dolphin of Wilmington, Mrs. Edgar Bloom of Hillsboro, Windsor Cadwallader of Williamsburg, Roy Cadwallader of Blanchester, Hugh and Dale Cadwallader at home, Mrs. Hugh Vance of Wilmington, Mrs. John Dunn of Wilmington, Mrs. Russell Faus of New Vienna, one sister, Mrs. Henry Wilkin, of Newark: 26 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday afternoon and evening. Tuesday afternoon, the body will be at the late residence.
